Bob Sr. & June Mills

After retiring from the Winnipeg police department in 1969, Robert Mills Sr. ran into an old friend  who owned a 5 ride carnival. His long time friend asked him to help out for the weekend selling tickets. Bob Sr. soon saw the potential that this little carnival had.

Bob Sr. soon recruited his family to help out his friend for the weekends. His wife June sold candy floss, while his son Bob Jr. ran the swing ride, and his youngest son Jim operated the car ride.

When the opportunity came up in the fall of 1969 to purchase a 3 ride show equipped with a candy floss machine, Bob Sr. took his savings, and purchased the show.

In 1970, the Mills family hit the road for their first official season!

As the years went on, the show continued to grow. Bob Jr. ventured out on his own and started up Canuck Amusements.

Bob Jr. and Jennifer Mills, along with the dedicated staff at Canuck Amusements strive to make our show a safe and memorable experience. We pride ourselves on a clean midway, with a friendly and well trained staff to make your visit with us a fun & safe experience!

We have 3 Amusement Device Mechanics on hand at all times, and are fully licenced & insured in all provinces.

Canuck Amusements season starts up in April, and ends in October playing events in Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Ontario.
